Owner Builder Courses
An owner builder is an individual over 18 years of age who intends to carry out residential building works on land they own which is or will become their home, under the authority of an officially issued Owner Builder Permit, permits are required in NSW, QLD and VIC at least.
Owner Builder work is any construction work (including supervision and co-ordination) involved in the construction of, or alterations to, repairs of or additions to, a dwelling or structure which may be a house, terrace, town-house, duplex, garage, swimming pool and certain other structures and improvements.
